Digital Equity at Open Data Week 2025

For Open Data Week 2025, BetaNYC is receiving funds from Governor Hochul’s ConnectALL initiative via the New York State Digital Equity Plan to highlight organizations and activists with a focus on digital equity. We welcome all organizations with a focus on digital equity to showcase your work, connect with like-minded advocates, and demonstrate how digital literacy and open data can encourage communities to thrive in the digital age.

If you are new to Open Data Week, our events celebrate the impact of open data and community-driven learning. We offer an ideal platform for organizations or communities to showcase innovative approaches to teaching and equipping communities through digital tools. We want to highlight how individuals can use data to educate, engage, and inspire others to better understand and shape their communities.

We are looking for event proposals or session ideas that feature your curriculums, programs, and projects. Additionally, we’re looking for conversations around policy. You can suggest events to be virtual or in person. Alternatively, you can request to present in person at NYC School of Data, the closing conference for Open Data Week.

We are excited to create a more inclusive festival. If you have any questions, please read our FAQ, watch our video, or shoot us an email.
